University of Washigton Black Student Union
8th Annual Legacy Soirée
The Black Student Union Legacy Soiree is an annual formal celebration and banquet that centers around excellence within the black communities at the University of Washington and in the greater Seattle area. The legacy Soiree is also an essential effort in creating a scholarship for underrepresented students, that went live for the first time last year! This year, the Soiree is themed “New Harlem Renaissance”, and will involve a night of live music, performances, honoraria, keynote speakers, catered dinner, and more. The BSU will also be continuing their tradition of recognizing ten exemplary high school students, with the hopes of inspiring them to attend the University of Washington.
Join us on Saturday, February 1st at 6:00 PM at the WƎⱢƎBʔALTXʷ INTELLECTUAL HOUSE for an elegant night celebrating black excellence!
Tickets are available at: https://tinyurl.com/BSUSOIREE20
Our goal is to establish a cohesive union between Black students, Black faculty, other Black organizations and the greater UW community. BSU exists to enhance cultural and political awareness, sponsor social events and provide support for the students and the community.
Meetings are held Wednesdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Ethnic Cultural Center Black Room
